In collaboration with the team at Endeavor Consulting Group, we have developed an advanced digital technology modeling program known as our Virtual Factory—a powerful platform designed to help organizations explore, validate, and optimize manufacturing and supply chain processes in a fully immersive, data-driven environment.
Real-Time Modeling with Live Enterprise Systems
At the core of the Virtual Factory is its ability to integrate seamlessly with existing enterprise landscapes. The platform supports live connections to SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and other enterprise systems, allowing real operational data to flow directly into the virtual environment.
By working with real-time system data, organizations can:
- Model thousands of manufacturing line configurations in minutes
- Simulate end-to-end supply chain scenarios across multiple plants or regions
- Evaluate the impact of operational decisions before execution
- Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and risk areas early
An Interconnected Technology Ecosystem
The Virtual Factory is not limited to ERP integration alone. It brings together a broad range of advanced digital technologies to create a fully interconnected ecosystem, including:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) for pattern recognition, optimization, and predictive insights
- Hyperledger Fabric Blockchain to support secure, traceable, and tamper-resistant transactions
- Internet of Things (IoT) sensors to capture and transmit live operational data
- Virtual Reality (VR) to visualize processes, assets, and workflows in an immersive, interactive format
By combining these technologies, the platform enables rapid experimentation and iteration. Clients and partners can explore real-world use cases, test alternative approaches, and validate outcomes—without disrupting live operations.
From Concept to Execution: Visualizing Manufacturing Processes
To illustrate the capabilities of the Virtual Factory, we have created a short demonstration video that showcases a SAP ECC production process order executed across three manufacturing operations within the VR environment.
In this example, IoT sensors capture operational data and write directly to a shared data layer—referred to as the “Blackboard”—within the virtual environment. This Blackboard acts as a central point of truth, enabling real-time visibility into process status, events, and outcomes as the production order progresses through each operation.
This demonstration highlights how digital signals from the physical or simulated shop floor can be:
- Captured through IoT devices
- Integrated with SAP transactional data
- Visualized and monitored in real time within VR
The result is a clear, intuitive view of how production processes behave across multiple operations, helping stakeholders better understand system interactions and operational dependencies.

Enabling Faster, Smarter Decision-Making
The Virtual Factory is ultimately designed to support better decision-making. By providing a safe, immersive space to test scenarios and validate assumptions, organizations can move forward with greater confidence when implementing new processes, technologies, or system changes.
Whether the goal is to modernize manufacturing operations, improve supply chain resilience, or evaluate emerging technologies, the Virtual Factory offers a practical and scalable way to bridge the gap between strategy and execution.
